About Token Comic

A publishing platform where anyone can create a comic, mint a collectible into it, and get paid directly by readers — no publisher, no agent, no bank in between.

The problem

Two barriers keep people from making a living telling stories. Most people who have a story cannot draw one: comics demand writing, character design, panel composition and keeping a face consistent across thirty images. And a creator in Latin America, Africa or South Asia usually cannot get paid by an audience abroad, because the payment rails do not reach them.

How it works

01

Describe your story

Tell an AI agent your idea in a chat. It interviews you, designs the characters, writes the script and illustrates every panel. Artists who already draw use our canvas editor instead — the same publishing and payout rails, with AI optional.

02

Publish and mint

One click publishes the chapter and mints an object from inside the story — a weapon, a relic, a document — as a collectible with its own rarity and limited supply. Readers do not buy the comic; they own something from within it.

03

Get paid anywhere

Readers collect your work and you earn. A settlement agent converts those earnings to USDC on-chain by itself: it decides when a balance is worth withdrawing, checks slippage against a hard limit, swaps and sends. No session open, no signature, no human.

Who it is for

  • —Creators with a story and no drawing skill
  • —Artists who already draw and want to monetize their work
  • —Readers who want to own a piece of what they love

Reading is always free and needs no account. Collecting is what costs.

How the business works

Creators buy TINKR credits with a card or local payment methods and spend them on production — a session, a standard image, a high-quality one. They earn TINKR when readers collect their work, and convert it to USDC when they withdraw. The platform charges for production and takes a percentage of what creators earn, so our revenue rises when theirs does.

Built on

AI agents run on Google Cloud: Gemini for reasoning and the Nano Banana models for illustration, all through Vertex AI, with a Cloud Run worker rendering chapters and Cloud SQL holding every transactional record. Collectibles are ERC-1155 tokens on Arbitrum, and the platform signs and pays the gas so the creator never sees a wallet.

Who builds this

Juan Pablo Rios

Founder and sole engineer

I started Token Comic in July 2024 and have built every part of it: the AI agents, the smart contracts on Arbitrum, the custodial wallet system and the payment integration. By day I design digital wallets and integrate digital identity protocols at Inetum España, and I am studying systems engineering. The platform has won three developer competitions, and that prize money is the only capital that has gone into it.
